Dave Magee retires with 11, career wins.
Hatness, IL Chicago's leading harness driver for the past plus years, Dave Magee, is retiring after his drives this Saturday night Feb. She works at Aurora Christian High School where their youngest daughter is a sophomore.
The Illinois laws prevented us from hiring him two years ago so Indiana gains him.
He's never stopped to count the accidents or injuries, but noted, "I hit the dirt this past fall in DuQuoin. On the local scene Dave has been dominant throughout his career, winning driving titles at every Illinois racetrack. It's a career that has earned him acclaim harnesss national and international stages of harrness sport after starting on the fair circuit in mahee native Wisconsin.
He led the nation in wins in withand took the World Driving Championship inracing against the world's best drivers from Canada, Australia, France, Sweden, Italy and Germany. Mike Hallwho has been at this for 20 years, will work with me. He wanted to make sure his wife, Cathy, was on board with it.

My family has been more concerned. He's retiring to become a racing steward in Indiana. He is also the leader in Super Night victories among drivers.
He won a whopping races inwhich led all drivers in North America. Magee is a Hall of Famer and has been one of the classiest individuals the sport of harness racing has ever known.
Win some, lose some. That final night, he climbed aboard the bike and maege horses around the track in seven races. He finished in the money five times, winning twice, second once and third twice.
So when he was contacted by the Indiana Racing Commission, Magee started thinking about the career change.
His 12 Maywood Park driving titles and 11 Sportsman's Park titles are both records. Trotting Association and they'll be mentoring me.
We will always be great friends and I wish the best to Dave and Cathy. The Big Rock resident won more than his share.

The wins came with Bell Valley Bill in the sixth race and Heavenly Knox in the eighth, giving him 11, career victories.
